MLS News & Updates What is the NorthstarMLS? The NorthstarMLS is an extensive online database of regional information regarding properties for sale as well as historical data about properties sold. The listings inventory covers the 13 county metro area. This regional multiple listing service (RMLS) is a cooperative effort between the four Twin Cities regional REALTORS® Associations, and is available to members only. There are many rules and regulations regarding how and when information must be listed in the MLS, as well as how the information may be used and shared with non-members. Take a look at the quick guide to rules, regulations, and frequently asked questions. Another helpful resource is a checklist prepared by the staff at the RMLS to help guide you through the requirements for entering a new listing. There is a long version and a short version. Broker reciprocity, the ability to share the listings of other members on your website, is also available by completing an agreement. Getting help with the NorthstarMLS The Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS® provides expert support for MLS users, whether it be addressing issues and questions members may have, to helping them make listing changes. Linda Smith, your MLS Director, is simply the best resource in the region for support of the NorthstarMLS. If you need help with the MLS, contact Linda at 651-772-6348 or lsmith@spaar.com.
