• Broker Member   • Full Appraiser   • Licensing Information   • Rules: Licensed Vs. Unlicensed Assistant

Looking to become a REALTOR?  Visit PROSOURCE to understand the educational requirements.  After completing the classes, you should complete and submit an application for the Department of Commerce.

Your broker may want to submit a temporary license authorization letter to get you started in your new career right away.

Need to renew your license?  The Department of Commerce issues the forms for renewal.  You may renew them online or get instructions and forms for renewal via mail for salespersons, brokers, appraisers, or limited brokers.

All renewing licensees must complete the required hours of continuing education and complete a Real Estate Continuing Education Course Form.

If you have specific questions about licensing procedures, email the Deparment of Commerce at general.commerce@state.mn.us.  They have very limited hours so do not expect a reply for a few days.  Because of their limited hours and the influx of new real estate agents, contacting the department via phone is not advisable.
